As a commodity analyst you will drive the analysis on the grains world market (Corn and Wheat). You will work daily with traders to monitor the market development in terms of price, production vs weather, consumption and tradeflows. The scope of analysis will be the most relevant world countries (Brazil, Argentina, USA, Canada, Ukraine, Russia, Australia), EU countries and regions of France. You will be in charge of the development of our models for SnD, Tradeflows and price parities. That will be the main tool for find insights and to build a clear communication of the results.

- To be in touch with the traders in a daily basis exchanging any market insight that could impact our business.

- Communicate in a weekly basis the relevant facts affecting the grains SnD and risk flags that could change the market trends.

- Present in a monthly basis the market overview (SnD, tradeflows and prices) showing the current situation and perspectives in a pragmatic and objective way.

- To address the points above need to develop from zero the intelligence required for a proper decision analysis:

• Map data sources and create the data collection process;
• Develop a weather model to anticipate the impacts on yields for the main producing countries;
• Develop the models for Supply & Demand, tradeflows and pricing analysis with focus on controlling the market evolution and perspectives.
• Develop dashboards for a clear and objective communication of the current market status, evolution and perspectives. 

- Collaborate and support the research team on correlated markets, processes, models, etc.

- Provide ideas for new data, technology and innovation to strengthen analysis within the Market Intelligence Research team.

- University degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics or Agronomy.

- Experience in commodity research and/or trading: 5 years minimum.

- Fluent English compulsory.

- Top Excel and Power Tools of Microsoft (Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, etc). Python are a plus.

- Understanding of economics and experience in commodity supply and demand fundamentals.

- Good knowledge of commodities trading business.

- Proven experience in fundamental analysis Supply and Demand for grains sector.

- Ability to structure data to extract relevant information for analytical purposes

- Problems solving skills, strong autonomy and creativity to address daily analytics issues.

- Active cooperation within the Market Intelligence Research Team and external stake holders.
